Shell Energy Operations Pty Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shell plc (“Shell”), today announced it has signed an agreement to acquire 49% of Australian wind farm developer, WestWind Energy Development Pty Ltd (“WestWind”), which has a 3 gigawatts (GW) project pipeline across Victoria, New South Wales (NSW) and Queensland.

BOC today announced a new power purchase agreement (PPA) with energy from waste facility Avertas Energy and Shell Energy that will reduce its greenhouse gas emissions nationally by 16 percent.

Shell Australia today announced it will build and operate its first industrial-scale solar electricity farm near Wandoan in central Queensland, Australia. The solar farm will generate 120 megawatts of solar electricity from about 400,000 photovolatic (PV) panels and is expected to be completed in early 2021. The project will create up to 200 new jobs during construction.
